I first used Airbnb this past may. I didn’t want to pay 30 USD a night for a dorm bed in Sicily so I decided to see if I could find a better deal on Airbnb. What I found was so luxurious and cheap that I thought there had to be a catch. It was a two bedroom apartment with a swimming pool for just 26 USD/night. I made an account and reluctantly paid for the minimum, three nights. When I arrived it was more beautiful than I ever imagined. The older Sicilian couple brought me fresh oranges every morning and even invited me to the main house for dinner.
Since this experience I always check Airbnb options for where ever I’m going next.
