About Dave Dean | WhatsDaveDoing.com
In his own words: 16 years ago my oversized backpack and I boarded a plane for London, to spend a year or two working and wandering around Europe. That was the beginning of a travel addiction that I’ve found impossible to shake. For many years I tried to balance a corporate career with an overwhelming desire to see the world, until two years ago I took the leap and hit the road without a return ticket.
I’ve always travelled on a budget, and that continues to this day. On the site I talk about the realities of a life of ongoing travel, both the good and the bad, and show how it’s not just for those in their twenties. It’s quite possible to leave it all behind to live and work on the road, even when you’re fast approaching 40, even when you have a house, car, puppies and a pension plan.
